Kodak made waves two years back when it was launched for the economy it offered from its inkjet printers. It continues to rave a storm with the newly launched ESP 5250 multi-function printer; printing, scanning and copying. What’s more, the printer is wireless as well.
The printer is fitted with a 2.4” LCD screen for viewing and editing images before printing. It also serves as a medium for navigation.
The printer offers multiple connectivity options. It can hook onto single systems through USB 2.0 and to networks wirelessly through Wi-Fi. It can even function as a standalone, thanks to the memory card readers. The circle would have been complete if Kodak had offered Bluetooth connectivity as well.
Print speed in draft mode is grand, at 30 pages per minute for black and 29 pages per minute for colour. 4” X 6” postcard prints are delivered in under 30 seconds.
My only problem with the printer is the packaged five colour printer ink cartridges. It is not economy although Kodak claims to deliver its prints at the lowest possible price. The printer itself costs under ₤130.
