Konica Minolta has released a host of laser printers in its magicolor segment. Two printers, 1600W and 1650EN are basic colour laser printers while the other two, 1680MF and 1690MF are multi-function printers. All these printers have a small footprint and the manufacturer claims that the noise levels emitted by them is almost negligible.
The magicolor line of printers are targetted at medium sized businesses and smaller workgroups. They offer a good replacement for inkjet printers and more importantly, it does not come with the bulky size and loud noise that are mostly associated with the lasers. These printers offer a low cost per print which is probably the most sought after feature in printers these days.
These printers leverage upon Simitri HD colour polymerized toner for its operations. These Konica Minolta toners ensure low cost printing and lower energy consumption without compromising the quality of prints.
All the four printers print at a speed of 20 pages per minute for both monochrome and colour. The noise levels during operation are at 50db and during standby at 29db. The multi-function printers can scan, copy and fax along with day-to-day printing activities.
The manufacturer has ensured that the pricing on the new printers are not exorbitant in order to attract numerous customers. The basic laser printer 1600W is priced at £115 and 1650EN at £165 while the multi-function printer 1680MF carries a price tag of £180 and 1690MF of £225.
