Konica Minolta has richened its line of business class colour laser printers by introducing two printers in the C30P series. Earlier this week, it introduced bizhub C30P and bizhub C30PX which should suffice regular office functions. This printer series is aimed at small businesses to enterprises.

The bizhub C30P printer series has a high speed printing of 31ppm for colour and 37ppm for black. The fast printing speeds can be owed to 866 MHz processor and 512 MB RAM which can be upgraded up to 1 GB. This printer comes with 4 toner cartridges, 4 imaging units, waste toner bottle, transfer belt, and a transfer roller as complementary accessories. It also comes with printer management software, PageScope suite of utilities, Net Care and Web Connection.

bizhub C30P Series Innovations and Advancements

- One of the smallest and most compact, network colour laser printers in its class.
- Optional Staple Finisher featuring 30-sheet stapling, job separation and offset stacking, with two output bins.
- Up to two optional 500-Sheet Lower Feeders increasing input to 1,600 sheets.
- USB flash drive direct printing capability supporting PDF 1.5, JPEG, and TIFF files (Hard Drive or Compact Flash Card must be installed).
- PictBridge compatible via USB 1.1 Host Port.
- Emperon Controller enhancements include higher processing speeds, unification of printer drivers (PCL/PS), and high quality print output.
- Automatic Duplex Unit (ADU) for double-sided colour printing that saves paper and space; and handles paper weights up to 24 lb. bond (standard on bizhub C30PX, and optional on bizhub C30P).

The C30P series released in the US earlier this week and should be available in UK stores in a month’s time. While the functional differences between the C30P and C30PX are not known yet, their estimated prices are out. The C30P has a suggested retail price of £1100 and while C30PX is £1250.
