Lexmark has launched a new compact monochrome laser printer in E360dn. It is aimed at small work groups who are basically concerned about black prints without any need for jazzy accessories.
Yet, the features on it is comparable to many printers in this segment. It comes with automatic duplex printing by default and is network enabled.
A 400 MHz processor powers the printer along with a standard 32 MB memory that can be upgraded up to 288 MB.
Printing speed is extra ordinary at 38 whopping pages per minute and the speed slides to 18 sheets per minute for duplex printing. However, the printer has start-up problems with a delay of 7 seconds for the first print to emerge.
Maximum monthly duty cycle is at 80,000 pages with a recommended maximum volume of 6000 pages. This number is probably sufficient even for mid-sized companies.
The Lexmark E360dn monochrome laser printer carries an unenviable price tag of £381. Yes, it’s expensive. But, the manufacturer offers three year on-site warranty for the printer which should make up for the steep price up to a certain extent.
