Lexmark Interact S605 Wireless Inkjet Printer
One of the Lexmark’s web connected printers, Interact S605 is the printer of interest for us today. It is a multi-function colour inkjet printer that connects to the net and users can browse websites through its 4.3″ LCD interface and print off of it directly.
The printer offers a best resolution of 2400 X 1200 dpi for monochrome and 4800 X 1200 dpi for colour prints. Lexmark printer ink for this printer is available in individual cartridges for each colour, which is an economical option for users. Only the ink that runs out needs replaced.
Printer speed is grand just like the print quality specs. In normal mode, it outputs monochrome prints at 18 pages per minute and 11 pages per minute for colour. The speed is mainly due to the inherent technology and the standard 64MB memory installed on it.
The Lexmark Interact S605 is a wireless printer, no more cluttered wires running around the house. It also houses PictBridge port for direct transfer of pictures from digital cameras along with USB 2.0.
The printer costs less than £125 and it will interesting to see how much of a value it measures up considering that it is one up over others with its ability to connect to the net.
