The leader in 3D printing, Objet Geometries has launched a new 3D printer in Connex 350. Their first one was the Connex 500 which received several accolades from top journals and associations.
Like its predecessor, this printer leverages upon PolyJet Matrix Technology which is known to produce the closest replica of the 3D image with a finesse touch. Some reviewers had stated that the end product from the former resembled very much like the original and sometimes it was difficult to differentiate between the two.
A feature that many developers would be interested is the recommendation feature on the printer that informs users regarding over-moulded parts. This can definitely act as a cost and time saver.
David Reis, President and CEO of Objet Geometries states – “The Connex350 will help achieve a company’s goals, launching their next product by reducing time to market and increasing product innovation, delivering impressive return on investment.”
The onus will be on the performance of this new to-be-launched printer, especially after Connex 500 was recognized as one of the top 3D printers last year.
The Connex 350 will be launched on the 22nd of July at the inaugural Time Compression Expo and Conference in Chicago, and on June 23–24 at the Devcon 2009, Dassault Systems Developer Conference in Velizy, France. UK launch dates are yet to be finalized though.
