Phew! Lexmark Launches Eight New All in Ones
Lexmark has opened up the competition with the launch of eight new multi-function printers. These are mainly aimed at small to medium sized businesses. One unique aspect of these printers is their naming convention. It is known that all printers that are out so far have a combination of numbers and letters but the newly launched printers are quite different, it is made up of words. Here’s the list:
Professional Series
* Platinum – £200, wireless 4-in-1 with dual paper trays, SmartSolutions touch screen and lowest black ink cost in the industry
* Prestige – £150, wireless 3-in-1 with SmartSolutions touch screen and lowest black ink cost in the industry
* Prevail – £100, wireless 4-in-1 with advanced networking capability
* Prospect – £85, wireless 4-in-1 with integrated business card scanner
Home Office Series
* Interact – £100, wireless 3-in-1 with SmartSolutions touch screen
* Intuition – £75, wireless 3-in-1 with two-sided printing and color LCD
* Interpret – £65, compact wireless 4-in-1 for office productivity
* Impact – £50, compact wireless 3-in-1 for everyday tasks
There are two main aspects of these printers. As per today’s trend, all the printers can be hooked onto the net and prints can be directly drawn out. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, Lexmark claims that these printers offer the lowest printing costs in the inkjet world for a monochrome print.
The new high capacity black cartridge 105XL will soon be the talk of the town. This high capacity ink cartridge is expected to cost businesses 1p per print or even lesser. This is far better than many laser printers in the market today; if the claims end up being true.
