While Pogo is touted as the world’s smallest printer, Planon has launched a counterstrike with Printstik PS910 as the world’s smallest full A4 page printer. The printer truly offers ultra mobility with its size and weighs just over 500 grams. As the manufacturer states, the printer offers true mobility for users.
Printstik leverages upon thermal printing technology which does not involve inks and ink cartridges. Printing speed is decent at 3 pages per minute. Paper rolls are fed into the printer and each roll is equivalent to 20 A4 pages.
PS910 can directly receive print instructions via Bluetooth devices such as smart phones and alternatively communicate with PCs through a USB port provided on the back of the printer.
A lithium ion battery powers the printer. However, each recharge can spit out 30 odd prints before it requires a recharge.
The printer is priced at £150 and is sold directly from their website. A set of 3 A4 rolls cost £5.
