Polaroid TWO is a Built-In Printer in a Digital Camera

If you thought that printers are being leveraged to plug in different functionalities, say hello to Polaroid TWO where a printer is an accessory to a digital camera. Yes, it’s true, and the newly launched 5 MP camera has an integrated PoGo ultra-mobile printer embedded in it for instant photo prints.

PoGo range of printers are powered by ZINK inkless technology. They are capable of printing 2″ X 3″ photo prints, that’s about the size of a credit card.

TWO is a fairly bulky camera with dimensions 3.0” H X 4.7″ W X 2.0” D. This can be attributed to the integrated printer. However, the camera by itself comes with a tiny set of lens and this could surely affect the quality of prints negatively.

The camera comes with a digital zoom of 4X and carries a PictBridge compatible port for direct printing onto printers (other than the integrated one). It does come with all the bells and whistles of a standard digital camera like image editing options, memory card readers, auto white light balance, auto aperture settings amongst others.

Polaroid has put a fat price tag on TWO at £240 including VAT. Whether the price supports the quality of the camera and the printer is yet to be seen in the coming days. I still have my doubts regarding the small lens the camera carries.
