Canon has made an inerasable name for itself in the photo printer section. Every Canon printer that I have come across has got great reviews from users and professional reviewers. Pixma IP5200R is the latest photo colour printer in the market which has been rated the best by many consumers around the World.

The IP5200R is a wireless printer enabled by 802.11g technology. It also has alternate choices for PC connection with USB 2.0. Like all other photo printers, the IP5200R allows PC-less printing using the PictBridge port which connects to a digital camera directly. While this printer does not have a LCD screen of its own, it uses the LCD screen present on the digital camera for its application.

A detailed quality testing was conducted by PC World and the printer has received accolades for its photo printing quality - …the iP5200R printed very attractive, vividly coloured photos that impressed us as much as those from models using more inks. Our greyscale test had a slight sepia cast, but showed good contrast and shadow detail.

Users have given great reviews on CNET stating that the IP5200R is the best photo printer in this era.

On the negative side, the absence of media slots to print directly from memory cards is a big disadvantage. Nevertheless a great printer recognizes itself from the rest of the pack by its printing quality and the evidence is evident in the reviews.
