It’s just not the inkjet printers that are cutting down on printing costs; laser printers have taken a cue as well. The latest to jump into the low priced bandwagon is Lexmark’s C534dn, a colour laser printer.

Lexmark C534dn is estimated to print 8000 pages from mono cartridges and 7000 pages from colour cartridges. If the estimation is true, this printer will be one of the most effective cost per page printers. Lexmark takes pride in some features such as duplex printing and quality printing on recycled paper to save our ever dwindling environment. The printer also comes with a LCD operator panel which is user friendly.

C534dn has a print speed of 22ppm for black and 21ppm for colour. It is a network printer as expected for any office printer. It is compatible with various operating systems like Unix, Solaris, Mac etc. It has a price tag of around £500 which isn’t too steep for offices provided that the estimation of pages printed doesn’t end up being guesstimation.
