Monochrome LED Printers from Oki

B4400LED printers are a new set of printers which is an improvement over generic laser printers. It has no moving mechanical parts unlike any other printers. The print head is a light emitting diode (LED) which flashes light across the entire page which is rolled over a printing drum. The light from LED reacts with the printing drum thereby creating the prints on paper. Read more about LED printers on Wiki.

B4600Oki has released two new LED monochrome printers; B4400 and B4600. These printers are fast, printing at 26ppm. They are compactly sized which is perfect for offices and also homes. They are reliable compared to laser printers. Both printers come bundled with software that allows users to print off post script files. They can handle additional paper and are network printers by default. B4600 has an integrated control panel which can be operated through a LCD display unit on the printer.

The B4400 is priced at £219 and its brother B4600 at £299.

The technology sounds cool but it takes more research on my part to understand the entire mechanism.
