Review : Lexmark X7675

lexmark-x76751Lexmark’s latest release, X7675 seems to be an exact replica of X4975ve which was launched a few months earlier. The similarities start with the looks and the features offered but not the price. This one carries a price tag of £120 which is at least £40 cheaper than the former.

Lexmark X7675 is a multi-function printer that can copy, scan and fax along with document and photo printing.

Printing quality for monochrome prints is good with no visible smudges or gradations. Colour printing displayed visible smudging and darkening of areas that weren’t supposed to be. Photo prints were the worst of the lot. Colours are particularly dark, resulting is loss of precious details.

Claimed printing speeds in normal mode are 13 pages per minute for monochrome and 5 pages per minute for colour. When reviewed, the actuals were less than half the claimed speeds. Monochrome prints were at a dismal 5 pages per minute when tested with a 20-page test. 4″ X 6″ photographs consumed around 2 minutes and 16 seconds for each print.

It seems like the printer seriously lacks a soothing factor. There is no reprieve with the price of prints weighing up at 4.8p for each monochrome print and 8.8p for a colour print. This is expensive.

Avoid this printer at all costs! There are other better printers in the markets that you could be interested in. Keep reading our blog to get an insight into new printers that are introduced from time to time. Also, you are encouraged to check out the printer reviews we have on existing printers.
