Ricoh Corporation has introduced six colour laser printers into the market. It includes laser colour printers in the Aficio SP C222DN Series and laser colour multi-function printers in the Aficio SP C222SF Series. The features and compactness fits the small offices to large offices profile.

The C222DN series has the basic printer in C220DN which is a small capacity printer. It can print at 16ppm in both monochrome and colour. The first page printing is 14 seconds. While the top two models in the series, C221DN and C222DN have a larger paper capacity, the designers have put all the desired features into the high-end model. The C221DN and C222DN can print at 21ppm.

The C222DN comes with automatic duplexing for savings on paper. Also this printer offers the best printing resolution at 2400 X 600 dpi. A web monitoring tool is available which provides various statuses such as ink cartridge levels, queue etc. It also features a built-in PictBridge to support direct printing from digital cameras and storage cards.

In its multi-function series, the C222SF series contains the base model C220S which is similar to C220DN along with scanning and copying capabilities. The C221SF and C222SF have all the features listed under C222DN along with scanning, copying and faxing capabilities. The top end models also offer G3 transmission speed of 3 seconds per page, a 100-page memory capacity and 20 one-touch numbers and 50 speed dials.

The suggested retail prices are between £250 and £400 for the C222DN series and between £400 and £550 for the C222SF series.
