Ricoh Unveil Aficio SP 231N and SP 232N Colour Lasers
Ricoh corporation has launched new colour laser printers earlier last week; SP 231N and SP 232N. These printers are the next generation printers and successors for Aficio SP C221N and SP C222DN. They are aimed at smaller workgroups and hope to cash in on a low total cost of ownership. As Ricoh puts it – Small in Size, Large in Value.
These compact printers offer one of the best resolutions in business at 2400 x 600 dpi. Print speeds are excellent at 21 pages per minute for both monochrome and colour.
These entry level printers are network ready by default. They are capable of handling all media types including labels and envelopes. A 2-line LCD screen is mounted for configure network printing, change paper settings and view supply levels.
Ricoh claims that the total cost of ownership on these printers is much lower than the previous models. This is mainly achieved by the high yield single toner that can help reduce per-page costs and offers three times as much toner as their predecessors.
The Ricoh Aficio SP 231N carries a price tag of around £300 and the SP 232N at £350.
