SamsungConsumers no longer have to shell out big bucks for colour laser printers. Samsung has launched three new colour laser printers, CLX-3175FN, CLP-315 and CLP-315W targetting SOHOs and small workgroups. CLX-3175FN is a multi-function printer with scanning, copying and faxing capabilities.

All three printers are built with Samsung patented NO NOIS technology for sound free operation. CLX 3175FN and CLP-315W are network ready while the base model CLP-315 isn’t. CLP-315W offers wireless connectivity additionally.

All three printers require 14 seconds to hand out the first print. They have a printing speed of 17ppm for monochrome and 4ppm for colour and deliver a maximum resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi.

“Samsung understands the needs of today’s SOHO and small-workgroup users who are the inspiration for our new CLX-3175 and CLP-315 line of printers,” said Kenneth Colby, Senior Manager, Printer Product Marketing, Samsung Electronics. “Not only do these feature-rich printers provide professional quality and functionality, they also introduce elegance and style in a compact footprint ideal for any workspace.”

The base model CLP-315 is as expensive as an inkjet printer and is available in the market at £100. The network ready upgrade of the base model, CLP-315W is priced at £125. CLX-3175FN, the all-in-one printer carries a price tag of £200.
