Samsung Starts to Hire ‘Partners’

Samsung Corporation has started to acquire partners for itself in the UK market through its printer partner programme (PPP). This programme is also extended to Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands and will hit every nook and corner of Europe before the end of next year. The idea behind it is to prioritise Samsung’s resellers into three broad divisions; registered, gold and premium.

The different levels of partnership is obviously based on the revenue generated through the resellers.

The bottom dwellers, registered partners are required to register themselves on Samsung portal and will become eligible to access Samsung’s sales tools, marketing campaigns, online training and regular communications.

The next in line, Gold partners enjoy revenue rebates, and financial support to market products and obtain hands-on training in selling the product apart from the ‘benefits’ enjoyed by registered partners.

The elite class, Premium partners will obtain massive discounts on Samsung products and a dedicated account manager.

In short, Samsung has done a good job in putting customers on the pedestal and promising incentives that are at best, an illusion.
