Xerox has launched a biggie with WorkCentre 6400 series, a multi-function printer that can copy, scan and email along with print. Fax option is not available by default on the base model but is on the other two.
The low-end model 6400V/S carries a price tag of £3415 and this multi-function printer comes with an optional finisher (stapling, folding etc). The second unit from the bottom, 6400V/X comes with a fax module. It costs £3685. The top end, 6400V/XF estimated to cost £5349 comes with all the bells and whistles including the finisher.
The printer is armed with a massive 120,000 pages monthly duty cycle, making it ideal for enterprises. Print speed is good at 35 pages per minute for monochrome and 30 pages per minute for colour.
UBS 2.0 and Ethernet are available by default along with automatic duplex printing. A massive colour touchscreen is mounted on the top to configure the printer settings and, to view and edit print jobs.
