Canon has introduced two new photo printers in Selphy ES3 and ES30. These printers offer maximum portability and a whole new host of creative photo printing options.
The printers come with rechargeable batteries to enable them to be used at any place desired. Like most other photo printers, they can work sans PC through the PictBridge port, memory slots and also wireless through Bluetooth.
A built-in memory is provided on Selphy ES3 to store certain number of photos for repetitive printing.
The printers feature a built-in LCD screen for easy viewing before printing. A special button christened the Creative Print button located on top of the printer is capable of springing a surprise or two with special image effects, frames and clip-arts. Users can use the embedded software to print their favourite shots as calendars and multi-layouts. Each lab-quality print is finished with a high-gloss layer that protects against fading, spillages and sticky fingers.
Both printers are available in the market from late September 2008. The Selphy ES3 is priced at £189 while Selphy ES30 carries a price tag of £179. For the onboard memory option, consumers are better advised to choose the ES3 over ES30.
