inksaver.gifPeople have started valuing the price of cartridges as their printing needs have shot up exceptionally in the past few years. Printer manufacturers, office management, consultants and users are always in the process of reducing printing costs. Inksaver is a software that uses math to reduce the amount of ink consumed. Pretty neat huh!

The Inksaver application loads behind the print driver and hence drives all printing commands. It uses algorithms that are designed to use minimal ink but outputs standard quality prints. Time to bade goodbye to draft quality prints I guess. The program places optimal quality of ink that is required to provide a good quality print and hence saves ink; well ink is money.

Several independent testing were done on the application and the results were truly remarkable. Inksaver can save up to 30% of ink and still testers were unable to differentiate between a regular print and Inksaver print.

The application provides users with a slider to decide on the percentage of savings they need. 30% is the recommended option as higher savings reduces the quality of prints.

Inksaver works on all printers including the popular ones like Epson, Lexmark, HP, Canon and Kodak. The application is device independent as it sits behind the windows driver file and not the printer application.

The application costs a measly £17 and is worth having one on your system for the amount of ink it saves. It is an easier and better option than opting for a third party cartridge or having your cartridge refilled.
