TallyGenicom, printer manufacturer for businesses and industries has introduced a new printer in the heavy duty segment, 9045N. The printer is powered by a 533MHz processor and boasts of unmatchable features such as Secure Print, Delayed Print, Walk To Print, Stored Print and IP Filtering.
The company puts the monthly duty cycle of this printer at 150,000 pages. It has dual paper feeders with a 150-page multi-purpose feeder and a 550 sheet universal cassette. Printing speed is impressive at 45ppm.
TallyGenicom’s Product Manager, Duncan Vass says - “In today’s fast paced office, there is an increasing need for mission critical, heavy duty printers,”
“The new features make the 9045 an ideal choice for business critical print applications in any business. They also come as standard in the printer, which provides an attractive proposition to the market, compared to some of the ‘add-on’ applications that often increase the purchase price of the printer.”
The most sought after feature in organizations today, secure printing, is one of the major features on 9045N. Users will be provided with a unique PIN when they initiate any print job. This PIN should be keyed in the printer to collect the print-outs. Grand!
Yet another feature that should hold well with organizations is the Delay Print feature. Huge documents and mailers can be scheduled to be printed during off-peak hours to reduce the burden of other print jobs getting stuck in the queue for hours.
Walk To Print and IP Filtering features will help in reducing the print jobs by a certain extent. Surveys have shown that a good percentage of users initiate print jobs and fail to collect the prints. To curb it, Walk To Print feature requires the user to manually reinitiate the print job at the printer. Printers are mapped to certain IP addresses and only those IP addresses will have the accesses to print. This feature can cut down on excessive printing costs by reducing access to the printers.
9045N is currently available for purchase and costs £610.
