I love the fact that we don't have to ship sources and products from one place on the planet to another place. Just download the 3d file and print your product, maquette or model without overproduction and meaningless squandering of energy.

The Phaistos disk is from Phaistos in the Mesara (S Central Crete), not from Knossos. And many scholars still doubt its authenticity: albeit found in an excavation, it was 'picked up' in loose soil. An academic joke, or not?

Just to nitpick the description of stone lithography--the acid is applied at the same time as the gum arabic and the "etch" is a chemical transformation of the stone, not an etch as in the intaglio process. The ink sticks to the surface of the stone, not recesses of the stone.
