Dell has probably stayed with their known brand of economical products with the latest multi-function inkjet printer, V305w. This printer can do much more than printing; it can scan and copy as well.
The American major claims that the printer is capable of outputting lab quality photo prints and laser-like text prints, and the printer offers a maximum resolution 4800 X 1200 dpi for both monochrome and colour.
The concept of single colour cartridge is slowly but surely becoming unpopular owing to the economics attached to it, but Dell seems to hell bent on not changing over, as of yet. This Dell inkjet printer features two cartridges, black and colour; which means that consumers have to replace colour cartridge if any of the three colours run out. Optionally a photo black cartridge can also be hooked on.
Printing speed is good at 21ppm for monochrome and 16ppm for colour.
This printer connects to a network through Wi-Fi and to a stand-alone system through the USB port. Other features include sans PC operation through PictBridge port and memory card slots.
Dell is known to be one of the best companies for pricing from a consumer’s perspective and the major has lived up to it with V305w. This printer carries a price tag of £55 and the product is available only on Dell website for purchase. The printer supplies are only available online and the shipment requires 3-5 days, which can be a dangerous scenario if you need to refill urgently. But, the offered price on the printer is as good as free for the features it offers. Let’s hope that the printer lives up to the expectations when we get our hands on it.
