Xerox Displays Xerox 700 Digital Colour Press at PMA

xerox700Xerox Corporation has unveiled a new professional photo printer at the PMA exhibition this year. The Xerox 700 digital colour press will probably be any studio’s or a professional photographer’s dream if the claims indeed turns out to be a reality.

The printer churns out prints at a whopping rate of 70 pages per minute, which (probably) makes it the fastest printer in the industry. The resolution offered on the printer is a whopping 2400 x 2400 dpi which according to the manufacturer produces smooth color sweeps, sharp, high-resolution photographs, crisp, clean text, outstanding gradients and fine detail.

Xerox 700 is built with all the bells and whistles for the standard of a professional printer. Some include automatic duplex printing and colour management tool to provide administrators the utmost control in print management. Tray sizes collectively give the printer a capacity of 5900 sheets with room for expansion as well. Security features such as data encryption, IP filtering, disk overwrite, and password protection makes it apt for offices and enterprises as well.

The video below displays a brief demonstration of the product by Xerox’s product marketing manager, and some of the images shown on the video that are printed from this printer are outstanding.
