Xerox Launches Universal Printer Driver

by Abhinav Kaiser on June 15, 2008

XeroxXerox has introduced a universal printer driver, which is compatible with all Xerox and non-Xerox printers. The driver enables people who work at mobile sites print on any available printer on the network.

Mobile Express Driver, as its christened, automatically identifies all the printers that are available on the network and allows workers to print without the need of the specific printer driver. The driver works on all Postscript printers (Xerox and non-Xerox) and all-in-ones. The driver is compatible with Windows OS (XP and Vista) only.

President of Xerox Office Group Russell Peacock said - “The Mobile Express Driver removes a real roadblock for the office nomad who travels across the hall, down the road, or throughout the country for meetings.”

Additionally, Xerox introduced Global Print Driver that enables IT admins to add printers to a network with a common driver. All the capabilities of printers are fully exploited with this driver. The driver is compatible with Windows OS (XP and Vista) and supports both Xerox and non-Xerox networked products using standard PostScript, PCL 5, and PCL 6.
