The Cartridge SAVER Schools Programme

We at Cartridge SAVE feel it's really important to raise awareness of recycling with young people. So we're making it a big priority to get in touch with schools in areas known for their low recycling levels.

The latest DEFRA recycling league table shows that areas like Knowsley and Trafford have the lowest recycling rates in the country. And we want to play our part by encouraging schools to recycle more.

During the last month, we've been visiting schools in the North West to talk to them about the importance of looking after our planet. Children as young as 7 took part in fun and interactive assemblies - and learned all about recycling and how we can all do our bit for our environment.

Find out more about the Cartridge SAVER assemblies in the news section.

Cartridge SAVING the planet, and orphaned elephants too!

We know how difficult it can be for schools to promote recycling - so much paper, cans, food waste. So we're trying to make it easier by making recycling fun to do and supplying recycling bags and boxes to schools FREE of charge.

And we're helping a good cause too. Proceeds from our cartridge recycling initiative go to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust - a worldwide charity that works with elephant and rhino communities in Kenya.
