Canon IR-C2220i Toner Cartridges

Design

Despite the understated appearance, the Canon IR-C2220i is a powerful machine with a 1.67GHz processor running on four Gigabytes of flash with additional two-Gigabyte memory and a 160GB hard disk drive. The base unit measures 565mm wide, 1117mm tall, and 680mm deep, and weighs 120Kg. The IR C2220i copier can be connected to a computer via high-speed USB 2.0 or integrated to a network via Ethernet. There is a USB 2.0 host port for direct printing. The main control panel is a seven-inch TFT colour touchscreen with minimal buttons on the side. Standard paper input is through a 550-sheet cassette, a 100-sheet multipurpose tray, and a 520-sheet cassette. There is a flatbed colour scanner.

Advantages

It can print directly from memory cards, and two-sided printing is a standard feature. Cloud and mobile printing are supported by the Canon IR-C2220i colour laser printer. The print speed is up to 20ppm in both colour and monochrome. Users can easily configure the device with the large touchscreen LCD. The Canon ImageRUNNER IR C2220i colour printer supports a wide range of media for impressive documents and other publishing needs. Administrators can easily control or monitor usage. Savings on Canon IRC-2220i toner are made by purchasing a multi-buy pack which contains all four of the black, cyan, magenta and yellow laser toners.

Disadvantages

The IR-C2220i colour copier is already expensive, but users would have to spend more if they want to expand or improve the media handling capabilities or install additional features. Fax, send features, and PCL are optional in the Canon IRC2220i. The print speeds are quite sub par for high volume jobs. The cost-per-page ratio of the ImageRUNNER C2220i on colour prints is a little high when compared to other options, and accessories for this model can be quite expensive, too.
