Canon LBP-2900i toner cartridges 

The Canon LBP-2900i is an energy efficient monochrome laser printer that is perfect for personal home use or a small back-office workgroup. This small printer is designed to fit comfortably by a desktop computer and excels in small print jobs. 2 MB of RAM can hold a reasonable print queue of jobs while the machine features a moderate print speed of around 12 pages per minute. The LBP-2900i is compatible with almost any Windows and Mac operating system and offers a resolution rating of 2,400 x 600 dpi on its monochrome prints.

Design

The compact, stylish design of the Canon LBP-2900i comes in both black and mixed grey colours. The unit itself measures out to be 37cm wide x 21.7cm deep x 25.1cm tall and weighs in light as a feather at right around 5.7 kg. A standard fold down tray in the front of the unit will hold up to 150 sheets of medium and the Canon LBP-2900i toners are easily replaced by lifting up the top of the unit, sliding the old cartridge out and re-inserting the new one.

Advantages

Canon LBP-2900i cartridges are cheap and provide a moderate print yield of 2,000 pages per cycle. Very high resolution for such an affordable printer. With the LBP-2900i, users can expect absolutely zero warm-up time and only 9.3 seconds before the first print is delivered. The system comes fully networkable with an optional AXIS 1650 Print Server.

Disadvantages

Firstly, the Canon LBP-2900i is a monochrome printer and therefore cannot print in colour. Secondly, the LBP-2900i features a very low duty cycle of 10,000 pages per month and should only be used for offices requiring minimal monthly printing. Finally, print speeds are relatively low compared to similar models made by other manufacturers.
