Canon i-SENSYS LBP-3210 Printer Review

Expert review of the Canon i-SENSYS LBP-3210 printer 20 November 2012

Our Verdict:

Ideal for small offices, the compact Canon i-SENSYS LBP-3210 mono laser printer has a monthly duty cycle of 100,000 pages. The i-SENSYS LBP-3210 printer comes equipped with automatic double-sided printing and expandable paper-handling capacity. Print speed is good, and output quality is impressive for monochrome text and greyscale graphics. The trouble with the Canon LBP3210 black and white laser printer is its pricey initial cost.

Design

The box-like Canon i-SENSYS LBP-3210 laser printer can handle 550 sheets at a time – 500 plain sheets and 50 for other media like envelopes, index cards, and A5. Standard print resolution is 600 x 600 dpi, but with automatic image refinement, this can be upgraded to 2400 x 600 dpi. The black Canon i-SENSYS LBP3210 toner code is EP-27 and this cartridge prints up to 2,500 pages.

Advantages

The LBP3210 printer is easy to use and install. In addition, the Canon LBP 3210 i-SENSYS printer delivers crisp text documents and great greyscale images at decent speed. It helps reduce paper waste, thanks to the automatic duplexer. The Canon i-SENSYS LBP-3210 is a workhorse with a high paper-handling capacity and a large monthly duty cycle. Another good thing about the Canon LBP 3210 is its size and design. It looks great and it has a small foot print. For cheaper supply management users can buy a compatible Canon LBP3210 toner cartridge which is made from recycled materials and sold by discount online stores.

Disadvantages

This unit could be better if it had built-in Ethernet. The Canon i-SENSYS LBP-3210 monochrome printer is quite pricey and is more expensive to run than some of its competitors, however.
