Our Verdict:
A small business or a home office that needs a compact and speedy printer will appreciate the 1250c for its relatively small footprint and features, which make it fairly efficient in printing high-resolution colour and monochrome documents. The Dell 1250c laser printer is in fact a colour-capable LED printer. However, small workgroups might be disappointed with the absence of networking options on the Dell 1250c.
Design
The Dell 1250c colour laser printer can blend inconspicuously in a small office because of its sleek frame and small footprint that measures 15.5 inches deep, 8.9 inches tall, and 11.8 inches wide. It weighs 10.5kg and comes with minimal buttons on-board along 4 LED status lights. Unfolding the front panel reveals a 150-sheet input tray and a 100-sheet output tray. The USB port is at the back for PC or Mac connection. The Dell 1250c LED printer runs on a 192MHz processor with 64MB of RAM.
Advantages
The Dell 1250c printer is reasonably speedy for its size, at up to 12ppm in monochrome and 10ppm in colour, and the output is surprisingly vivid. Photo quality is above average with rich, true-to life images and smooth colour tones. Text documents look crisp because of the 600x600dpi resolution. Disadvantages
