what does use & return mean?

Dell use & return cartridges are sold at a discount compared with the regular cartridges with the understanding that once the cartridge is empty, you will return it to Dell (and no one else) for recycling.

They are identical to the regular Dell cartridges and are made from 100% new parts (i.e. they are not made from recycled or refurbished parts). Details of where to send the cartridge when you have used it are included on the cartridge packaging, along with free-post postage labels.

The Dell 2230d is a workhorse of a printer that is suitable for a busy office or a large organisation that demands print speeds capable of printing up to 33 pages per minute. This printer can also create documents that are sharp at a resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. This printer incorporates a 400 MHz processor and 32 MB of memory to manage print information.

Design

This printer is compact enough to sit on a shelf or a desktop and is designed in a two-toned enclosure. It has dimensions of 41 cm in width, 37 cm in depth, and a height of 26 cm. Weighing only 13.53 kg, the Dell 2230d is easy to transport without assistance. The Dell 2230d is versatile and can print on plain paper, recycled paper, bond paper, rough paper, coloured paper, cards, envelopes, labels, letterheads, transparencies, and pre-printed paper. Dell 2230d toner is designed to have an output of up to 3,500 pages before needing to be replaced. In addition, the Dell 2230d comes equipped with 150 sheet output bin and 250 sheet input tray. Computer interface is achieved using a high-speed USB 2.0 port or a parallel connection. This printer is also compatible with Windows 2008 Server, Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X, NetWare 5.1 and 6.0, and various Linux systems.

Advantages

This printer is capable of handling massive amounts of work and can create up to 35,000 pages on a monthly basis. Using a memory expansion slot, the Dell 2230d printer can also be upgraded from 32 MB to 160 MB to further improve power and performance. Duplex printing is another feature that should be noted. Disadvantages
