Looking at cartridges here: http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/toner-cartridges/Epson/AcuLaser-C1100.html It seems you are assuming that 4000 pages per cartridges means 16000 per set. Is that realistic? I'm trying to figure out how much my printer will cost to run.

  • Each Cartridge prints 4000 pages at 5% coverage. This is a small paragraph of 3 - 4 lines per sheet of A4 paper.

    Unfortunately we cannot advise how many prints you will achieve per Cartridge as it is entirely dependent on what you are printing.

Epson Aculaser c1100 - photoconductor units see 1 answer

I have a unit which is 18 months old and I have a message to replace the photoconductor unit - which was replaced 6 months ago. Should I replace it again - or buy a new printer?

  • 'WORN K DEV UNIT' means that the black developer unit in your printer needs to be replaced, unfortunately this is not something we sell, you'll most likely need to buy direct from Epson. They can be tricky to replace so you might need to pay an engineer to do this. However, if your printer is still under warranty Epson should do this for you.

  • Yes, that is correct. The Compatible Epson toner cartridges are always cheaper as you are not paying for the Epson brand name. Compatible toner cartridges will always contain the same amount, or a greater amount, of toner than the Genuine toner cartridges.

Epson AcuLaser C1100 toner cartridges 

The Epson AcuLaser C1100 is an relatively cheap colour monochrome laser printer that is capable of printing high-quality photos and black and white documents. It suitable for small businesses or workgroups that require an easy to use printer without complications. The AcuLaser C1100 is able to print 25 pages per minute in black and 5 pages per minute in colour. The AcuLaser C1100 printer is also able to handle a 20,000 to 24,999 monthly duty cycle. The C1100 is able to print pictures in a maximum resolution 600 x 600 dpi. It serves also as a one-touch scanner and is able to copy documents without blurriness. It takes only 9 seconds for the first page to be printed and uses Epson ESC/P software. The AcuLaser C1100 uses a PowerPC 66.7 MHz processor and is installed with 256 MB of RAM. Duplex printing can also be done on manual mode.

Design

The Epson AcuLaser C1100 has a contemporary design that is clean and a very functional control panel. You get a built-in Status LCD and a paper tray that is able to hold 680 pages. The C1100 has a width of 17.5", a depth of 17.5", and a depth of 17.3". The Epson AcuLaser C1100 printer is quite heavy, but is very sturdy wherever it is placed.

Advantages

The AcuLaser C1100 is able to print business quality photos at a faster speed than its predecessors. In addition, the AcuLaser C1100 allows you to create photos that have great image resolution. Epson uses AcuLaser Colour 2400 RIT as its primary image enhancer to improve the quality of its photos. AcuBrite is able to deliver advantages compared to other toners in the aspects of print quality, cost, and colour array. AcuBrite also offers smaller, more uniform particles of ink to increase image resolution. A special resin is also used to create a high gloss level. This is ideal for professional documents and business photos that require more depth.

Disadvantages

There are some cons to the AcuLaser C1100. One of the downsides to this printer is the number of paper jams that occur. Many users find that the ink cartridges need to be adjusted for the printer can recognise they are there. Despite its shortcomings, this printer is suitable for anyone who needs quality printed documents and are looking to stay within a budget.
