Epson AcuLaser C1750W Printer Review
Expert review of the Epson AcuLaser C1750W printer 06 December, 2011
Our Verdict:
If you are small business looking for a compact, cheap and reliable printer then the Epson AcuLaser C1750w may be a good choice for you. Unfortunately, this printer lacks decent performance in both the speed and quality department, and although it’s fairly cheap it definitely disappoints in terms of value for money.
Design
Unfortunately, when it comes to design the C1750W doesn’t become any more impressive; with an old-fashioned and unprofessional looking dark grey finish, and a printer that lacks any credible design features; this would definitely not win any prizes for its looks. In addition to this, the C1750W lacks any sort of display screen, making navigation extremely difficult and would require the end user to have an extensive look through the manual to gain a decent understanding of how to use it. However, one positive which can be drawn from this printers design is its size. Standing at just 394(W)mm x 304(D)mm x 234(W)mm the printer would fit into the smallest of offices.
Advantages
Where the Epson lacks an edge in its design, it makes up for with its connectivity capabilities; with a USB port, Ethernet port and Wi-Fi, this printer is extremely easy to connect to from different devices. In addition to this, it is compatible with various OS including: Windows XP, Vista, 7, Mac OS X 10.4.11 and later.
Disadvantages
Unfortunately, the C1750W is extremely poor in terms of speed (11ppm), and its quality of 600 x 600 dpi is very disappointing - colours appear extremely faded. However, do bear in mind that it’s an extremely cheap option and would be ok for occasional home use.
