how do I Recycle a cartridge see 1 answer

I have just installed my first replacement cartridge and I am trying to find out where I send the old spent one to to be recycled - there was no prepaid special recycle envelope in the Box that the new one came in Please advise Thank you Alex

  • Unfortunately, we do not currently have the facilities to take toner cartridges back for recycling. I recommend doing a Google search for toner cartridge recycling in your area as you may find a local company who will take them from you.

HP Colour Laserjet M175a toner cartridges 

A reliable colour laser MFP with a significantly lower upfront cost, the HP Colour Laserjet M175a is a good alternative to inkjet MFPs with the same functions (scanning, copying, and colour printing). The HP M175a does its best work with black and white pages, and prints at decent speeds of up to 16 ppm in normal mode. The HP Colour Laserjet M175a however, prints slower when using colour toner, although this would not be an issue for offices where colour printing is only needed occasionally.

Design

The Colour LaserJet M175a measures about 441x421x338 mm, still compact considering it consists of 3 machines in one. It has an intuitive control panel on the left side, with a 2-line display for controlling start and stop operations, as well as for checking the status of consumables. The HP Colour Laserjet M175a has a 150-sheet input tray, enhanced by a 35-sheet ADF unit for automatically feeding paper when scanning or copying multiple page documents. The output bin can handle up to 50 sheets of plain paper.

Advantages

The HP Colour Laserjet M175a can handle multiple types of media, from A4 size paper to small postcards, and even envelopes. It is capable of fast operation, thanks to its 600MHz processor and 128 MB memory. The HP Colour Laserjet M-175a also features a 30-bit scanner, which can scan up to 1200 dpi images. Copy speed is the same as the print speed, at 16 ppm for black and white and 4 ppm for colour copies. The maximum resolution reached for copied documents is 300x300 dpi.

Disadvantages

The HP Colour Laserjet M175a can only be connected via high-speed USB, and network connectivity is not possible. It prints slowly when producing colour documents, and running costs can be fractionally more expensive than with other competing models.
