The P1102 had a paper jam and after this would not function because the ink door was open. How do I close it? Dr. Michael Matthews 20/47 Craiglea Place, Edinburgh EH10 5QD 01314473197
  • Unfortunately, as we do not stock the printers we are unable to offer technical support for this query. I would suggest checking your printer manual for any troubleshooting advice, if you no longer have this it can be downloaded from the HP website:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=uk&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=4110396&
If this does not resolve the problem I would recommend contacting HP directly and they should be able to help further, they can be contacted on 0844 369 0369.

  • The only cartridge we sell for this machine is the Genuine Black HP 85A Toner Cartridge which can be seen at the link below:

We do not recommend refilling toner cartridges as the power can be hazardous.

HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer Review

Expert review of the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer 21 April, 2011

Our Verdict:

HP LaserJet Pro P1102w toner cartridges

The HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer is a compact laser printer that is especially designed for use in a home or in a smaller home office. Measuring a compact 13.74" x 9.38" x 7.7", the HP P1102w printer includes wireless technology and features technology that is designed to make it simple to save energy and space. The printer also includes several design features that were meant to make the printer easy to use for basic printing tasks.

Design

The HP P1102w printer's design includes several items that make it a great printer for everyday printing tasks. For example, its 600 x 600 x 2 dots-per-inch resolution and 19 pages per minute printing speed makes it easy to print black and white text quickly. The printer also includes small buttons that are located near the front of the unit that are easy to use.

In addition, the printer features an easy front-loader system that lets users load and unload ink cartridges efficiently. Moreover, its HP FastRes 600 print technology uses a series of menus to create crisp looking letters, documents, post cards and envelopes in no time flat.

Advantages

The HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer's light weight makes it easy to install the printer anywhere. Moreover, its 150 sheet print tray is ample for most people's basic printing needs. As a result, most people can get by with filling the tray half way in most instances. In addition, the printer's ability to run on Mac OS X, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Linux operating systems is useful because it lets users decide which operating system to use with the printer.

Disadvantages

Using the printer's wireless capability can be tricky for beginners to master. This seems to be true because some users have reported trouble locating and activating the printer's i built-in WiFi 802.11b/g card. Finally, the printer's feeder tray can be a bit tricky to load properly. This seems to be true because the tray's narrow sides make it somewhat difficult for some users to load paper into the tray properly. As a result, the printer might be a better deal for users who have had some prior experience using printers and computers.
