Designed to be a top of the line LED printer, the Oki B6500DN easily fulfils the document printing needs of a small and busy office with its 43ppm print speeds, while making sure that text and images are clear and crisp. Its technology helps reduce overall running costs, while duplex printing and networking can minimise downtime. The design looks too industrial and boxy for a corporate or professional environment.
Design
The Oki B6500DN has a boxy build that measures 404mm tall, 422mm wide, and 549mm deep and weighs approximately 21Kg with all the consumables in place. Its main interfaces are a serial port, Ethernet, USB 2.0, and a parallel port. The processing speed is 533MHz and it runs on 128Mb RAM. There is a built-in 12MB flash memory for font, macros, and form storage, and it is upgradeable up to 1GB. Paper feeds from a 150-sheet and two 550-sheet paper cassettes, and exits at a 500-sheet bin.
Advantages
With a compact size, the Oki B6500DN can be set up anywhere on a standard office desk. It can produce sharp and bold text in 1200 x 1200 dpi. The memory is expandable to 640MB. Adding a duplexer can reduce paper consumption. It is easy to share the Oki B6500DN over a network. Disadvantages
