Our Verdict:  

Ricoh Aficio AP3850C toner cartridges 

The Aficio AP3850C is one of the earlier versions of innovative high-volume laser printers released by Ricoh and is notable for ease of use and superior document finishing. The Ricoh Aficio AP3850C is one of the more advanced options and is popular with small to medium work groups in the creative industry.

Design

This printer is quite compact considering all its capabilities. It is designed to be mobile but is also easy to set semi-permanently in one corner of the office. This easy to use printer can produce 28 coloured pages per minute and 38 monochrome pages per minute. The Fiery Driven technology gives the Ricoh Aficio AP3850C the management tools required for robust colour, and is combined with EFI Velocity, and EFI Command WorkStation options, and extensive management utilities that contribute to its user-friendly interface.

Advantages

Quality colour imaging, optional finishing capabilities, and the large paper capacity are among the selling points of the Ricoh Aficio AP3850C. The toner cartridges are compatible with Precision Premium technology, which claims to give more mileage for ink while producing high quality and smoother prints. The printer uses the tandem drum printing system, a technology that successively images every colour in a single pass to achieve maximum printing per page.

Disadvantages

The Ricoh Aficio AP3850C is quite underdeveloped compared to the newer models in the Rico Aficio series, which have already been integrated with fax, scanning, and copying capabilities. Still, it is a hard-wearing and reliable laser printer for high-volume requirements.
