The Ricoh MP C5504ASP is a multifunctional printer perfect for the work place. With gigabit Ethernet, it is network ready and has an optional wireless LAN. It offers copy, print, and scan functionality with an optional fax addition, and also comes with 2GB memory and a 320GB secure hard drive. With 2 x 550 sheet paper drawers and a 100 sheet multi-purpose tray paper capacity that is expandable to 4,700 sheets, this printer a great choice for any office with high capacity printing needs.

Design

The Ricoh MP C5504ASP measures 587 x 685 x 963mm and weighs approximately 103.4kg. As with many Ricoh printers, it comes with their distinctive Smart Operation Panel which has a 10.1-inch display for easy viewing. There is a single pass document feeder, and comes in a range of finishes so you can choose the one that’s best for your office’s needs. There is an optional 2/4-hole punch as well as optional 1000 sheet saddle stitch booklet maker for example.

Advantages

The Ricoh MP C5504ASP printer’s main advantage is not only its 55ppm speed, but its Smart Operation Panel which allows for ease of use and integrated workflow, thereby cutting down on time and increasing work place productivity. With an intel processor, it is an incredibly hard working printer and has a resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. The Smart Operation Panel works much like a smartphone or tablet, with touch screen capabilities and a web browser, allowing for users to print directly from a website or email. The Scan Free Ricoh app also allows documents to be printed directly from a smartphone or other mobile device, while the scanner scans directly to PDF, USB, FTP, URL, SD card, email, folder and SMB.

Disadvantages

This is a great all-round, integrated, easy to use, high functioning printer that works well in mid-size and even large offices. Its print speeds make it incredibly efficient, but some users may have a little trouble getting used to the Smart Operation Panel at first.
