Our Verdict:  

Samsung CLP-670 toner cartridges 

Suitable for small networks with 5 to 10 users, the Samsung CLP-670 is a promising entry-level and low-cost solution that produces good quality prints in monochrome and full colour. It is designed for medium-scale printing, but some of its features are quite outdated.

Design

The Samsung CLP-670 features a minimalist control panel with simple buttons that give it an understated elegance. It uses a 2-line 16 character LCD display and buttons that make cancelling jobs easy. The paper tray can handle 250 sheets at a time and it slides out from underneath the front panel. An additional similar capacity tray can be added if you need the CLP-670 to print more. You can connect Samsung CLP-670 via 10/100 Ethernet or USB 2.0.

Advantages

PCL 6 and PostScript Level 3 drivers for emulation are provided to increase the compatibility of Samsung CLP-670 with more devices. The Blue Compass Navigation on the control panel is user friendly and provides immediate access to many of the printer's controls and various print functions. The CLP-670 can be integrated into a simple IT infrastructure. The fast 700MHz CPU and duplex printing features are impressive.

Disadvantages

The 2-line, 16 character LCD display of Samsung CLP-670 is outdated because of its size and lack of backlight, which can make it difficult to read when standard overhead lighting is unavailable. The 256 MB RAM could be higher and faster to complement CLP-670’s enhanced 700MHz processor.
