The Samsung CLX-2160N is a multifunction colour laser printer, copier, and scanner. For the home or home office, this machine is a work horse with a monthly duty cycle of 24,000. Though it does not include fax capabilities, this CLX-2160N is designed to be used across a network and communicate data efficiently. It can handle most standard media, including photo paper, custom sized media, labels, envelopes, and transparencies. The CLX-2160N also comes with software to print custom watermarks.

Design

With Ethernet connectivity, the Samsung CLX-2160N is designed to work over a network, and supports Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems. The unique scan-to-computer options allow precise control over image compression, with support for JPEF, TIFF, and PDF formats. Its high speed USB connection and 128 MB memory can handle multiple jobs at once. A competitive speed of 17 pages per minute for black is countered with a modest speed of 4 pages per minute for colour printing or copying. Starter cartridges of Samsung CLX-2160N toner are included along with the printer, and toner is separated into black and colour cartridges. A 2,400 x 600 dpi print resolution is respectable for home photo printing.

Advantages

At 41 x 35 x 33 cm, this machine packs a lot of function into a small space. Connect the Samsung CLX-2160N to a home or home office network for use with multiple computers.
