The Samsung ML 1710P is a monochrome printer that uses laser technology to produce good-quality documentation over a range of different media. The USB port and parallel connectivity speed up communication between devices, and there is a selection of energy-conserving features. For homes and smaller workplaces, this printer can be trusted to deliver reports, letters or advertising materials. The smoothly rounded edges and fresh white finish mean that it will fit in well in homes or offices. Furthermore, its diminutive size means that it can be conveniently placed on a corner of a desk or table without taking up lots of room.
Design
This is a compact printer that measures 7.8 x 14.2 x 14.6 inches and weighs just 15.4lbs, so it is easy to move around when necessary. The monthly duty cycle can reach a maximum of 15,000 pages, and there are a number of alternative paper feeds. The 250-sheet cassette will take care of standard paper print jobs, while a front slot can take smaller or larger media such as envelopes or legal paper. The Samsung ML 1710P is capable of supporting a selection of operating systems, including Microsoft Windows 95, 98 and 2000, along with many Linux versions.
