Design

In terms of aesthetics the Samsung ML-4551NDR won’t win any awards, however it is neat and compact standing at 353 x 396 x 526mm making it ideal for those of you who are stuck for space. The Samsung ML-4551NDR has capacity for 500 standard A4 sheets, and also come with a 100 sheet multi-size tray. The extra price charged for this printer compared to those in the Samsung ML range, is for the improved CPU, which promises a better performance – allowing the printer to handle large volumes of work.

Advantages

The Samsung ML-4551NDR biggest advantage is its print speed (43 ppm in A4) and its large processor which allows multiple users to process print orders at one time without any reduction in print time or performance. Monochrome output is great for text, clear and crisp documents are produced every time, while the connectivity of “SyncThru” web administrative tools allows a seamless office work group connection.

Disadvantages

The disadvantages of the Samsung ML-4551NDR are largely in what it lacks, for example no scanning or facing options, while only supporting monochrome printing is an extra headache that many businesses may prefer to avoid. Although the Ethernet connection is great, lack of WiFi or any other modern connection interfaces is another disappointment, especially for a more modern streamlined work environment.
