Our Verdict:

This black and white laser printer from Xerox is a great all-round printer for workplaces or offices that don’t need to print in colour. It has a super-fast processor that makes for fast print speeds, with up to 42ppm in black and white, including a first page print speed of just 6.5 seconds.

These fast speeds don’t mean that you’re compromising on quality, however, as the Xerox WorkCentre 3345 promises print resolutions of 1,200 x 1,200dpi. It’s worth bearing in mind that while this model won’t be able to serve large offices, it would be ideal for those with up to ten users.

Design

There’s nothing much to write home about when it comes to the design of the Xerox 3345, but its professional look and predictable colour scheme of off-white and dark grey means it will more than likely blend in with most offices and work areas.

It measures 22 x 23.5 x 24 inches and weighs 17.32kg, which means that although it might not be the most compact printer available, it is small enough to fit in most medium-sized workspaces.

The printer has a 50-sheet automatic document feeder, a 250-sheet input tray and an optional second 550-sheet paper tray.

Advantages

The Xerox WorkCentre 3345 comes with great connectivity, including Wi-Fi Direct, and can be used in conjunction with your smartphone and tablet, thereby enabling you to print easily and quickly, even when you’re not in the office. There’s also an easy to use 4.3-inch colour touchscreen control panel that makes moving between functions even easier, so you can print, scan, fax or photocopy all from the same machine.

Disadvantages

While this printer is a good all-rounder for medium-sized offices, some may feel restricted by the lack of colour printing.
