3DGence One Printer Review

Expert review of the 3DGence One printer

Our Verdict:

At a manageable 490 x 380 x 470 mm (when including the filament spool), the 3DGence One is of a size that makes it suitable as a desktop 3D printer. The machine can use different filament types to create printed items through FFF technology. The design allows for filaments and nozzles to be swapped quickly and easily, ensuring that a range of prints can be completed within a school or workplace, though users will not be able to accomplish these tasks wirelessly.

Design

The 3DGence One has the capacity to undertake printing jobs where the items have a build volume of 24cm x 25.5cm x 20cm within a layer resolution of 50 microns. It can be used with different filament types of 1.75mm, including PLA and ABS. The 3dGence One is a single extruder machine, and it can accommodate a nozzle with a diameter of 0.3mm, 0.4mm or 0.5mm. Users can connect to this device via a USB cable or SD card.

Advantages

The 3DGence One is compatible with Windows and Mac, and it operates using the slicing software 3DGence Slicer. The unit’s platform bed is ceramic and heats up to ensure good adherence of the item being printed. This 3D printer has a maximum operational temperature of 32 degrees Celsius. The machine offers an autocalibration feature to ensure that it is continually capable of printing items accurately. The printer has an open style that makes viewing the printing process simple, and this also ensures that the components that can be adjusted are easily accessible.

Disadvantages

Those who like to use a 3D printer wirelessly will be disappointed by the 3DGence One as it does not have Wi-Fi connectivity.
