I have the HP Officejet 8500A printer and it won't print. The cartridges have been changed and are HP cartridges. I've cleaned the printheads. HP C4901A printhead replacement
We would advise you to ensure that all four of your HP Officejet Pro 8500 ink cartridges are correctly installed with remaining ink. If you're still unable to print after running a printhead cleaning cycle then you might need to replace your HP 940 printheads. This page displays the genuine HP 940 magenta and cyan printhead (C4901A). There's also a separate HP 940 black and yellow printhead. However, we would advise you to check with HP directlly to confirm that you do need to replace your HP 940 printheads if it's unclear why the printer has stopped working.

I've received a replacement under warranty from HP, but it has same print faults. The old printheads have passed their own warranty period and might be the cause of the printing problem as the cartridges are nearly full. Will yours be the correct ones?

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus all-in-one printer. Having looked for replacement printhead cartridges (C4901A & C4900A) are these genuine HP boxed cartridges you're offering? Having purchased some genuine HP refills for half the price, my printer instantly recognised this fact and shuts down. I've had to purchase a refurbished printer from HP and don't want to have to repeat the exercise because of not using originals.
