The Kyocera FS-1020 is an entry-level printer designed for personal use and small offices that need a basic printer for their business correspondence. Though it looks simple, the Kyocera FS1020 mono laser printer is packed with features that could rival bigger and more expensive machines, but it doesn't offer much in terms of expandability for the growing workplace.
Design
The black and white FS-1020 printer may not stand out because of its simple cube-shaped frame, but it runs on approximately 16MB of memory and a 266MHz processor. The paper tray is base-mounted and follows a Z-path to the output tray on top. The minimal control panel features two buttons for the power and cancelling jobs. The control panel has LED status indicators. The Kyocera FS-1020 laser printer also supports USB 2.0 and parallel connectivity.
Advantages
The Kyocera FS-1020 monochrome laser printer can print up to 20 ppm on A4-sized media. Text is printed well with sharp characters and in true black. The memory can be expanded to 272MB.
