Our Verdict:

A part of the StyleWriter series of inkjet printers, the Apple Colour Stylewriter 2400 is better than outdated dot matrix printers and delivers fast, laser-quality printouts. However, the Stylewriter 2400 was still an overpriced machine during its day, and it's not the most efficient printer in terms of speed.

Design

Boasting an industrial design and minimal buttons on-board, the Apple Colour Stylewriter 2400 is a simple personal inkjet printer that measures 8.3 inches tall, 8.5 inches deep, and 14.4 inches wide. It weighs 3.58kg. The Apple 2400 Colour Stylewriter's print engine is capable of printing at a maximum of 360dpi resolution for both colour and monochrome speeds. The device is integrated with QuickDraw PD language and can be connected to the PC via serial RS-433 8-pin mini-DIN.

Advantages

The Apple Colour Stylewriter 2400 printer is EPA Energy Star compliant and compatible with the console gaming system called, 'Apple Pippin.' The paper handling options are quite versatile for basic printing - labels, envelopes, transparencies, and glossy paper. The Apple Colour Stylewriter 2400 is also notable for its compact size and ample paper capacity (up to 100 sheets).

Disadvantages

The Apple Colour Stylewriter 2400 is quite outdated when compared to modern inkjet printers by HP, Canon, and Epson, so it may not be the best choice for those who require speed and top quality prints.
