HP Fax 910 Printer Review
Expert review of the HP Fax 910 printer
The HP Fax 910 inkjet fax machine is designed for busy small and home offices. It is a standalone plain paper fax machine with HP's signature inkjet technology and convenient features for one-touch operations. However, the HP 910 monochrome fax printer doesn't come with a handset, and this limits its capacity as a communication device.
Design
The compact breadbox shape allows the HP Fax 910 printer to fit inconspicuously on a cramped desktop or a cabinet without taking up too much space. The Fax 910 requires a single black cartridge. With this installed, the device weighs 6.8Kg. Paper is conveniently loaded at the back and exits in front. All controls are neatly arranged on the top right-hand side of the Fax 910. The HP Fax 910 black inkjet cartridge holds 40ml of ink and is capable of printing up to 720 mono pages
Advantages
Plain paper faxing ensures long lasting output (compared to thermal transfer printing). A 150-sheet ADF is integrated into the HP Fax 910 fax machine. The Fax 910 printer can be shared with a telephone's single line or answering machine. Features like error correction mode, customised fax settings, speed dialling, and an efficient copier are integrated into the HP Fax 910 inkjet fax.
Disadvantages
The HP 910 Fax printer lacks a handset, so its full telephony features are limited to the answering machine. This could be inconvenient for offices that would like to combine their telephone line with their fax machine. The low fax resolution is only 300dpi, so graphics might loose their detail. The copy speeds of the HP 910 inkjet printer are sub-par at only up to 1cpm.
