  • Do cartridges 16 and 26 work in the Lexmark X1270 All-in-One printer?

    High capacity Lexmark X1270 ink cartridges

    Yes, any of the cartridges listed on this page work in the Lexmark X1270 printer, including the high capacity Lexmark 16 black ink cartridge and the high capacity Lexmark 26 tri-colour ink cartridge. As long as you have one black and one tri-colour cartridge installed within the X1270 printer it shouldn't matter if they 're high capacity or light-user ink cartridges. The only difference between the cartridges 16 / 17 (black) or 26 / 27 (colour) is the amount of ink they contain. If you print regularly then we would advise you to order the high capacity cartridges (Lexmark No. 16 and No. 26) as these should work out to be more economical for you and give you a cheaper cost-per-print.

  • At the moment my X1270 printer is using Lexmark 17 and 27 cartridges. Can it use Lexmark 16 and 26 cartridges instead?

    Yes, your Lexmark X1270 printer can use any of the cartridges listed on this page as long as you have one black and one tri-colour cartridge installed. The Lexmark No.16 and No.26 are the high capacity cartridges so they do exactly the same job as the No.17 and No.27 cartridges you're currently using except they contain a higher capacity of ink and will last longer in your printer. By purchasing high capacity Lexmark X1270 ink cartridges you'll benefit from a cheaper cost-per-page.

  • Hi there, I've purchased off you before about three months ago. I've not used my printer for a long time (six weeks now). I put new cartridges in but the black one doesn't work. There's no ink in it. The colour is okay. Now what if I have the same problem again? If I order from you will I be able to send them back? I didn't have any receipt because it was so long ago. I don't know whether you keep a record of people who have ordered from you. If so, you will have my details on record. Hope you can help?

Our Verdict:

The Lexmark range has had to compete with Hewlett-Packard for some time and more often than not, the Hewlett-Packard range has a tendency to just about come out on top. This is usually just a result of the high quality of their Photosmart range, but the Lexmark X1270 is certainly fighting its corner rather bravely. Here is a brief review of the Lexmark X1270 and everything it has to offer; well, as much as we could fit into a single review anyway!

Design

Printers are not usually known for their high levels of handsomeness, but the Lexmark X1270 is actually very pleasing on the eye. The Lexmark X1270 manages to be functional and attractive at the same time and a shiny black case is complimented by a very well thought out user interface, making the Lexmark X1270 a rather attractive proposition for home printing.

Advantages

Much like its rival Photosmart range, the Lexmark X1270 offers loads of extra features which would not appear on a budget printer. There is a scanner, the ability to create high quality colour prints and plenty of other extras which give the Lexmark X1270 a real boost in the race for the best printer on the market.

Disadvantages

This is by no means a budget model, but to say that the Lexmark X1270 is excessively priced would be untrue. In truth, there are plenty of good reasons to consider the Lexmark X1270 as this is a printer which offers a great deal of benefits which include a nifty design and superb output quality.
