Our Verdict:

The Olivetti DM4246 is a monochrome dot matrix printer which can be used for printing documents such as invoices and receipts. Thanks to its low-price tag and running costs, it is affordable enough for use in a domestic setting or for a low-budget business. Printer downtime is kept to a minimum thanks to long-lasting consumables. The quality of the printing is good, and it produces professional looking results. This is a good no-frills printer, but if you require colour printing or other office functions, such as faxing, scanning, and copying, at least one additional device will be needed.

Design

With measurements of 430 x 280 x 150 mm, the Olivetti DM4246 is a small device. Its grey casing has a smart appearance which fits in well with most colour schemes. Printer operations are managed from a control panel on the front of the device. It uses a black nylon ribbon which has a generous character yield, and it has a rear paper feed which takes a roll of paper.

Advantages

The Olivetti DM4246 is a good option for those on a budget or those looking for a cheap monochrome printer thanks to the low initial price tag and inexpensive running costs.
